Final Destination 6: Resurgence is the 6th entry of the Final Destination franchise, and the first in the series after the franchise's hiatus after the release of the 5th film in 2011. The film is set in the fictional city of William Bay, Maryland in the year 2022.
Plot[]
Nearly 15 years have passed since death had claimed the lives of those who survived the McKinley speedway accident in 2008. One day, while on a daily commute to work by taking the metro, a college student by the name of Cody Barnell has a premonition that the train's rubber-tyred wheels bursting, causing the train to dislodge from the elevated tracks. He warns everyone to get off the train, and sure enough, the train crashes, just like in his premonition. The following days, those who got off the train start to die in a series of unfortunate accidents. Now Cody, Ariel, Zachary and the other survivors must find a way to stop death before he is able to continue to kill all of those who survived the disaster.

Cody Barnell (Age 23)[]
The Protagonist who has a premonition of the William's Bay Metro accident. He is one of the members of William's Bay University's movie club.
Premonition Death[]
In the Premonition, he is thrown out of the window of the front of the train, killing him instantly.
Real Death[]
He and Ariel are the only 2 survivors to escape death's list.
James Orchard (Age 21)[]
One of Cody's fellow classmates, as well as the vice president of WBU's Otaku club, James Orchard is a full-blown otaku who has a thing for girls in anime and manga. He is the first to die on death's list.
Premonition Death[]
Killed when the rear-half of the train derailed.
Real Death[]
While watching the anime horror film, "Perfect Blue", one of the accessories in his kitchen falls, turning on the radio, playing a song named "See You After, Babe" by a pop artist named Symmetry Icon. When he notices, he pauses the movie to investigate. When he goes to the kitchen to investigate, he sees the radio has been turned on. He goes to switch it off, but just before he could, he slips on a puddle of Hice Pale Ale spilled from a bottle opened earlier, accidentally knocking down a pile of firecrackers from the shelf behind him. An igniter also suddenly falls from the shelf, lighting the firecrackers, and his face is damaged by the debris of the firecrackers. Screaming in pain as his face is horribly damaged, with his eyesight blinded, he crashes off his balcony, and bleeds out from his injuries.
Julia Richards (Age 22)[]
A friend of Ariel. Her plan is to one day become a professional escape artist. The second to die on death's list.
Premonition Death[]
Killed after falling from a broken window from the side of the train, and onto the streets below.
Real Death[]
Willing to show off her skills as an escape artist, Julia attempts to escape from hanging on a noose. She ties her hands behind her own back, and carries a box-cutter knife to use to free herself from the restraints. Unfortunately, before she could begin undoing the restraints, the stool she is standing on breaks apart, and she drops the box-cutter knife. She struggles to try and find something to stand on, but the noose tightens, and she looses consciousness within 3 and a half minutes.
Sheldon Morris (Age 31)[]
A robotics expert and a professor at WBU. He is the third to die on death's list.
Premonition Death[]
Impaled by one of the safety poles of the derailed cars.
Real Death[]
While giving off a demonstration for prototype robots to one day be used by the United States Military by having it shoot dummies, one of the robots malfunctions and shoots Sheldon while he's readjusting one of the dummies that had fallen off.
Lisa Holloway (Age 19)[]
The 4th to die on death's list, and the youngest survivor to die.
Premonition Death[]
Killed from falling out the doors of one of the derailed trains.
Real Death[]
While working at her part-time job at a gas station, a gas truck leaks fuel after being punctured by a pitchfork that had fallen from a tool truck earlier. When she notices some teens smoking outside, she calmly tells them to put their cigarettes away. When one of them throws it into the fuel, the truck explodes along with the gas station, killing her in the process. By the time the gas station explodes, Cody, Zach and Ariel notice the smoke cloud.
Matthew Rushmore (Age 42)[]
A politician running for Governor of Maryland, he is originally the 5th to die on death's list, but survives thanks to Cody, Zach and Ariel's actions.
Premontion Death[]
Electrocuted by one of the falling destination signs of the train.
Real Death[]
Is almost crushed by a light-rig while making a speech at a hotel, but is saved by Cody, Ariel and Zachary after they stop the light-rig from falling.
